Open Source Data Loggers

Open Technology for Biodiversity

Welcome

Open Source Data Loggers is a project to develop Open Hardware and Open Source Software tools for biodiversity scienctists that integrate into the existing landscape of biodiveristy informatics.

Many devices capture information of impportance to biodiversity science, from camera traps to temperature and light level measurements. The OSDL Protocol provides a framework that is device-indepdant and uses existing, established technologies to allow these devices to ccontribute high-quality, structured datasets to the global ecosystem of biodiversity informatics.
